The Council of Management of the Malaysian Sinhalese Association awards grants to selected students, whose parent(s) are members of the Association and who had sat for the SPM and STPM examinations and obtained excellent results with a minimum of Five (5) A’s for the SPM Examination and Two (2) A’s for the STPM examinations.

The successful candidate will be entitled to receive his/her award in one full sum as decided by the Awards Committee of the Education Sub-committee.

Selection of suitable and successful candidates for these awards and the quantum of award shall be made by the Council of Management of the Association on the advice and recommendation by the Education Sub-committee.

Successful candidates will be informed by telephone and confirmed by post / email. The successful candidates will receive their awards at an event organized by the Association.

Application Form for the grant will be posted at appropriate time after the results for the year is declared. The Form should be completed with attached copy of the Education Certificate and returned to reach the Chairman, Education Sub-committee on or before the specified time as posted.
